When I Started:
Mar, 2009
How I Started:
It all started in February when for some reason I decided to weigh myself. I hadn't in quite some time. I was shock and disappointed with myself at what I saw 270 lbs. It took me about a month to start actually going to the gym. I hit it pretty hard because I wanted to quickly see results so that I would become hooked on working out. It has worked, I am hooked, and I love it.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because I feel more energized through out the day. I have more stamina. Working out is my natural high.
How I Stay Motivated:
Knowing that I am improving myself is my driving force. It is what wakes me up at 7 in the morning so that I can go to the gym before I have to be at work. Constantly visiting this site and reading various articles is also a great motivator.

Goals:
Main Goal:
Transform My Body
Goal (Overall):
To lose another 50 lbs by the end of the school year.
Goal (Long):
I was not always overweight. In fact when I was younger, until about the age of 10-12 (not quite sure) I was extremely skinny. I have always said to myself that I was going to "get fit", but I never put my thoughts into actions. That is until, for not real reason, I decided to weigh myself and was shocked at how much I actually weighed, 275 lbs. My cutting goal is 160 lbs by March 2010. Which would mean, if I achieve my goal, I will have lost 110lbs in 1 year. My bulking goal, after my cutting goal is achieved, is to bulk up to 185 lbs w/ 8-12% bf. I know I can do this, I want to do this, I NEED to do this. Not for anyone else but myself.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 110 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
12%

It has been around 1 month since I have lifted a weight. Moved to cleveland for school and haven't really had the time or money to lift. I brought the few weights I have w/ me but I don't have a bench to do some of the lifts I enjoy so I feel detoured.

However, I am going to buy a...

Glad to see you're still slowly bringing the weight down. How've the last few weeks gone? You mainly burning those calories by weight lifting? Cardio? Controlling food intake?

That's a concern of mine as well. I've gained strength, yet my Omron 306C isn't showing a drop in body fat % as fast as the weight is, which makes me wonder if I'm losing muscle too.

Doing pretty good on it. Down 35 lbs., primary goal is to drop 51 lbs. (hopefully by end of June, won't make my original goal date, but that was extremely aggressive). How about you? Looks like you've dropped weight like mad.

Damn, nice job dropping 6 lbs last week. Impressive 38 lbs for the year, although thanks to the progress pics I'd estimate you lost 10 lbs by shaving your head. Just kidding, great progress man.
