How I Started:
I had previously been into body building in the early 1990's. I strayed away from it during one of my tours in the military. I have always been actively involved in sports and running. I recently got back into body building just to add some size. I don't really want to get huge, just a little more size.
Why I Love It:
I feel better when I workout. It's something that you can see the results and take pride in what you've done.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have three kids who play HS and youth sports, I want to be able to keep up with them and help them, not be the fat dad in the stands watching. My soldiers make fun of me for being old, I use it to show them up.

This was the first picture taken when I started out again 217 Lbs. A little size, mostly body fat. There really is some muscle under the fat.
Five months into it. Mostly lifting weights. Great gains in strength. Just started a hard cardio routing. Gotta lose the spare tire. Definate difference in shoulder area.
I would like to add about 10 pounds of good muscle while dropping about 8% body fat, and the love handles.
Goal (Long):
Overall, I would like to maintain my current body weight of 212 pounds. I want to drop the body fat from about a 1 1/2 year lay off from a knee injury, but keep the weight with lean muscle. I recently bench pressed 315 pounds during my last bulking cycle. I am 3 weeks into a cutting/cardio phase. During my next bulking phase I want to increase my bench to 340.
