When I Started:
1995
How I Started:
Wanted to have some kind of shape - was tired of being skinny. I love the beach but don't want sand kicked in my face. Want to be able to go shirtless and be proud, not wonder what people are saying!
Had a great mentor who taught me early on it was more important to use good form than to lift heavy.
There's a lot more about how and why I got started in my blog - feel free to check it out - ask questions or make suggestions!
Why I Love It:
The pump is amazing! Clothes fit better.
Keeps me feeling more like I'm 38 than 58.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with highly motivated people who have a positive outlook. And, the positive encouraging comments from the dedicated and committed bodybuilders on Bodybuilding.com is keeping me motivated far more than ever before!
BB Accomplishments:
Sticking with it!

It's never too late to start -- and so far, I can see no reason to stop!
Goal (Long):
To reach a level of development where comments I receive on here and otherwise don't end with "for your age!" Lofty goal, but I believe it is possible!
Why I like this video: This video is from a BodySpace friend in Richmond, KY (GO BIG BLUE!). I'm focusing on back and lats now and his advice on negative cable rows is GREAT! You can check out his BodySpace profile @ SteveP78! Thanks for the help man!
Two Non-Blondes: Cooking with juls
Played: 265
Why I like this video: This is my BodySpace Buddie, JOTN (Two Non-Blondes) and her friends in a "scary" and fun cooking segment, making some truly healthy and delicious, high protein pancakes with Beverly Internationals Ultra Size! Try 'em - you'll like 'em!
negative bicep barbell curls.
Played: 625
Why I like this video: This is another video from my friend SteveP78. If you want to see the benefit of negative barbell curls, just look at the great peak, definition and cuts in his biceps photos - its awesome! This is something I am incorporating in my arm day routine!
I’ve been very fortunate to receive a lot of nice compliments from other BodySpace members. Well over half of the comments end with something like “… for your age” or some other reference to age. I’m always flattered and motivated when I get a compliment, but I wonder why it...
Powderhouse Productions, TV producer for major networks, NEEDS TEXAS BODY BUILDERS. Our next show will talk about artificial muscles and we'd like to talk about them with a few body builders around to show real muscles at their finest. If you are interested please contact us. We will be shooting November 23rd or 24th in the Dallas area. It should be an interesting shoot and great exposure for all involved. I look forward to hearing from you.
