When I Started:
1995
How I Started:
Wanted to have some kind of shape - was tired of being skinny. I love the beach but don't want sand kicked in my face. Want to be able to go shirtless and be proud, not wonder what people are saying!
Had a great mentor who taught me early on it was more important to use good form than to lift heavy.
There's a lot more about how and why I got started in my blog - feel free to check it out - ask questions or make suggestions!
Why I Love It:
The pump is amazing! Clothes fit better.
Keeps me feeling more like I'm 38 than 58.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with highly motivated people who have a positive outlook. And, the positive encouraging comments from the dedicated and committed bodybuilders on Bodybuilding.com is keeping me motivated far more than ever before!
BB Accomplishments:
Sticking with it!

It's never too late to start -- and so far, I can see no reason to stop!
Goal (Long):
To reach a level of development where comments I receive on here and otherwise don't end with "for your age!" Lofty goal, but I believe it is possible!
Why I like this video: This video is from a BodySpace friend in Richmond, KY (GO BIG BLUE!). I'm focusing on back and lats now and his advice on negative cable rows is GREAT! You can check out his BodySpace profile @ SteveP78! Thanks for the help man!

The Best Kept Secret in Bodybuilding
This is not the first time I’ve written about “The Best Kept Secret In BodyBuilding!” The first time I was writing about a supplement company I was associated with and the superior service and expertise...
thanks ray, i really appreciate, you are an inspiration to me! you've got 30 years on me and that excites me to know that it doesn't have to end any time soon!
Thanks, I havent been working my back out though, so its smaller than usuall. Hopefully my back will still look big when I lean down to 5% for my show.. =\
We are so very impressed and will look at your workout in more detail. You must eat incredibly clean. What an incredible thing you have done with yourself.
What's goin on Ray!? 4th of July was a blast. That is cool that you know others who are into this sport of bodybuilding! I have friends at my school gym, but the equipment is out of date and I want to go where others are a bit more serious. I'm planning on joining a Golds this week where my old training friend goes so that should help my workouts. Have a great week!
