Well in 1990 prior to joining the Army I had to lose 15lbs. I ran every night after school for 6 months to lose the weight. I've always been a heavy child. When I entered the Army lost more weight, ofcourse. Basic training physical training at that time were always side-straddle hops, push-ps, sit-ups then go or a 2 or 3 mile run. After Basic training, I went to Virginia for Advanced individual training where I met the only female that I knew who lifted weights. She was also my Drill Sergeant. I was bold enough to ask her about it, back then you didn't ask a DS nothing personal or you get SCUFFED UP. After that she brought me to the gym with her, after training was complete ofcourse. She encouraged me to bodybuild. I never forgot her for that. I never had a chance to tell her thanks. DS Abrams was and is a definite motivational factor for me since I have just finished a tour as a DS at Fort Jackson. That is how I got started.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding to me is like pottery art. You start from a thick block of clay and you slowly and patiently pick away the clay not needed to make a beautiful piece of art. I also love it because it is a great stress reliever.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the change in my body.
BB Accomplishments:
Ms Copper Classic, 1st Place Heavyweight 1992
Ms Grand Canyon, Overall 1993
415th BSB, Germany 1st Place Heavyweight 1997

Since 1997 I wanted to get back into bodybuilding competition. My life always was way too busy for competitions so now I am going to compete NO MATTER WHAT!!!
Single dumbbell curls wuth the palms facing forward throughout the whole movement so as to not involve my shoulders in the movement and keep the focus on the biceps.
Currently I'm working with Tim Gardner of Tampa and we are attempting to keep my muscle while losing fat so I stick with low impact cardio in AM prior to my first meal and workout a 5 on/2 off split. I do alot of compound movements with some shaping exercises.
hey a few new progress pics. please check em out and let me know what you think. Hey Just posted A new blog of my full workout in detail check it out and let me know what you think
Hey! Thanx for the complement, girl. I am done until next year! I will plan on doing Deke's Florida State next year. I may spectate the Hurricane Bay show. Do you plan on spectating the Tampa Pro or Florida state? I am. If you are there maybe we can meet up to say hi!
Hey Battle B, I'm disappointed in the progress. I see some def coming back in the legs and tris but I need BUTT AND GUT FAT gone. Any ideas on BUTT FAT elimination without my butt looking like a lady? Hey do you have a competition coming up? Flying out tomorrow for R&R.
Hey scary moment hear this morning. We had a convoy hit by what we thought was a VIED. As it turned out it was a suicide vest explosion. It will be tense thhis evening because we have 2 of our guys out coming back in from another location. Normally I hit the gym but I'm still here in the office.
Now on the mean part, you know we all had to turn it on and turn it off at certain times. She was probably a big ole pooh bear at home. Well, unless home life wasn't good. As a youngun'on the trail, It was hard to turn it off when it was on. Then age and experience came.
Hey you never know. Have you tried to enter her name in the AKO White pages. Aren't you a little bit curious if she brown and buffed or wet and wrinkly. I mean if I got you started into bodybuilding and I look at your profile pic, I would say DAYUM! You go girl! Then I would say wow! I started her out and look what she has become.
THE ROPE? OMG that kicked my ass. That male ego kicked saying "AH what the heck can a simple jumprope do? Little girls play with these all the time. After a min I said WTF? I had to stop Q. I had to break that thing down. 1 min jump, 30 sec rest.
Hey lady, I was asking because I was in the 108th as a DS in a unit in Durham NC. I did my time 1st as a Active Duty DS way back in 89. Yeah I'm a little AGED. That's another reason why it was embarrassing plugging in with you. I'll get back to where I used to be. DEF is coming out in my legs and arms and a little in the gut. I'll take some pics 2nite and post in the morning.
Hey DS, If I asked this already please 4give. Are you with the 108th DIV out of Charlotte? Also, was it your blog that had 15 min of jump rope was equal to 30 min of running or something to that effect? Anyway, I tried to add something different to cardio. That rope kicked my WOOOOOOO!!!!
