what's good man, how you been? training's been going pretty well, I went on a clean bulk for a couple months and I'm sitting at 205. I'm probably going to be going on a serious cut to like 185 and get ripped. How's your lifting been?

Gotcha, I do about an hour of cardio before bed, I aim to burn 400-600 calories depending on how I feel my day went. Just try to add cardio in if you have to eat that late.

I personally think that eating anything within 2-2.5 hours before bed is bad for fat loss. I would eat your meal right after your workout rather than your shake, then have the shake before bed. If you have time, I like to do cardio before bed as well, that way I burn off any excess calories and when I sleep I'm burning mostly fat. Have your shakes with water instead of milk, dairy is pretty fattening.

If you are out of shape I think it's only natural to lose fat and gain muscle. A little over a year ago I was 240lbs and like 25%+ bf. Now I'm 205 15%bf. During that time all I did was eat relatively well and lift weights. I got stronger and loss weight... so I think it is possible. For someone who is already in shape, It's a different story.

It seems like what you've mostly been aiming for in the past is fat loss. I would keep your diet in check, 5-6 meals a day, 1.5g protein/lb lean body mass, just eat as clean as you can, don't kill yourself counting calories and carbs etc... eat till your not hungry, not till your full. Add in 3-5 days of heavy weight lifting and cardio 3-4 days a week, coupled with the diet you should be able to continue burning fat and build more muscle.

Sometimes I'll limp through the day until I hit the gym and take my Superpump 250, but like 20 min later I'm ready to go. My body is weird though, If I eat poorly, It will show practically immediately, when I eat clean, I feel much better and it seems like I have more energy, regardless of carb intake.

I try to stay away from dairy unless I'm really craving it, I stay away from bread too. Oats, brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc for carbs. I keep them low so my body burns more fat for fuel. I get my fats from fish oil pills, almonds and omega-3 whole eggs.

about 2500-3000 calories a day, 240g of protein, tried to keep around 100-150g of carbs and only take in essential fats. very bland diet but it seems to be working. anything worth attaining requires sacrifices...
