It started in 8th Grade when i wanted to get stronger for football and I was one of the strongest kids, so it was something I was good at! Coach John Gerner really inspired me in high school to continue on with it. Would like to see if I could out lift him now. Probably not!
Why I Love It:
STRESS RELIEF! With two kids and a business I need it. I also need to always stay in decent shape since I own a nutrition store. I'm always that guy that leans on the heavy side anyway if I'm not careful.
How I Stay Motivated:
My kids, especially my son keeps me active. I want to stay in shape so I can be a fun dad that plays, not just sitting on the bench. My wife likes my body too, so that is a pretty good motivation.
I've been doing a lot of mega sets one muscle group a day and getting decent results, the only negative thing I feel about doing 4-5 sets back to back is that I'm loosing strength so I am going to change up my workout...I want something to really burn me out. I know...
I'm currently in diet mode so watch out, I might be pissy.
I'm training with weights 5-6 days a week, depending on recovery (usually legs only get hit once as they grow real easy and are always sore).
I try to get 45 minutes of cardio in everyday, many times twice a day.
Hey will I just joined anytime fitness and was looking for other people who lifter there. i will have to drop by purebody nutrition sometime its close to my apt.
