When I Started: Sep, 2005
How I Started: I did competitive swimming for a long time, so I was always pretty lean, but also skinny. Then I broke my hand, became even skinnier, and decided to finally put some meat on them bones. I also did some modeling for a while, but decided I didn't like the thin look with nothing but cut abs.
Why I Love It: It requires a lot of dedication, but you reap what you sow. I don't like things to be too easy, and I like the challenge that bodybuilding gives me, both physically and mentally.
How I Stay Motivated: Motivation is not a big problem for me. When you see continual changes in your body, month after month, when the measurements keep going up, when the weight keeps rising, when people continually tell you how much different and bigger you look, motivation is not a problem. However, I'll admit the Schwarzenegger motivated me to try bodybuilding, and people like Layne Norton convince me to stay natural.
