When I Started:
Sep, 2003
How I Started:
When I turned 18, I weighed 155 lbs. at 6'3.5". I wasn't very happy with my physique. I had been training with bodyweight exercises for a while, but I had no idea about bodybuilding. I just happened to pick up a copy of Arnold's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding and thought "Hey, maybe I could do that." I gained 20 lbs. in the first two months and was hooked. I did bodybuilding training non-stop for over two years and gained 75 lbs.
Why I Love It:
Its great stress relief, and I like getting strong.
How I Stay Motivated:
Its just part of my lifestyle, I love doing it.

Why I like this video: Possibly the most impressive squat video I have ever seen. It is stuff like this that got me into Olympic weightlifting. Ecuadorian weightlifter Eduardo Guadamud, who lifts in the 94kg (207lb.) weightclass squats 310kg (683lbs.) for a rock-bottom double without any support gear except knee wraps. He is only 21 years old.

Hey, my friend, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I got 205 lbs. for five sets of good and deep reps in the squat. Right knee is bugging me a little, so I'm going to ask Santa to fix that! :) I hope 2008 brings us both some new PRs!

Saw your video listed on the BodySpace main page. Good reps, Diesel. Ha! You thought about 12, though. :) I woulda been crushed at 1 rep. Most I've ever done was 265, but it was ATTG.

HaHa! My cage is probably the best investment I've ever made & it cost me less than a single girlfriend! I'm very impressed by your lift & you should look into some chains. My guess is that your squat would be in the 500's in less than six months. Stay old school, brother! al

Excellent! So old school, a narrow wobbly squat rack...outdoors with some old iron weights. I absolutely love it. Awesome lift, too, my friend. You might want to consider snugging that rack up a bit...it's making me nervous:) al
