I used to be a serious fat body. At one time I weighed in at 335lbs at 6'5". When I graduated from high school and as I grew taller, I started playing basketball. I wanted to get better at it, so I started running and joined a gym.I got down to 269 at one point but never really got to the point where I was happy with how I looked.
Why I Love It:
It is a huge part of my life. When I don't workout, I don't feel good. It helps me focus and just gives me a good, positive feeling
How I Stay Motivated:
Music keeps me motivated. Mostly for when I`m running or doing any other aerobic activity. Looking in the mirror.

Santa Monica - I was about 285 here and not much going on as far as muscle.
I want to Gain some more Muscle, Lower my BF%, Eat Clean and get a damn Six Pack!
Goal (Long):
I have never been happy with my body especially my upper body. I`ve never taken my shirt off at the beach or anything like that. I workout at least 4 days a week and have made progress through the years, but I`ve never gotten over the hump. I`d like to get to that next level where I can take off my shirt and be proud of my body. I don't even think I need to lose a lot of weight and its more about the bodyfat percentage than anything for me. Its not so much that I have to see my abs but a nice solid, flat stomach would go a long way towards happiness with my body.
Sometimes, I think we are still living in the stone age. Its 2008, and I'd say the majority of people still have these old school, preconceived notions that muscles on anyone else but a guy is unnatural and strays away from femininity. I just don't get the backwards thinking. Case in point,...
I’m glad to hear that you are getting better results. I’ve been hitting the upper body hard of late to try to offset the lack of work on my lower body. I did about 10 minutes on the elliptical today with very little pain. Hopefully this is a good sign!
i love eating more carbs...but its kinda heavy in my tummy :( its great that you like your new training program...but as always it comes down to the diet ;-)
