I've always been unhappy with my body, between stress and a love of food I gain weight easily. I wanted to change my body and I started reading more about fitness models and bodybuilding and was fascinated and it helped mold my goals of what I wanted to transform my body into.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finish a cardio workout (I hate cardio) or push out the last few reps when I am weight lifting. It makes me feel tighter and stronger.
How I Stay Motivated:
I pull out my old pictures from when I was 230lbs and remember that I never want to be that heavy again. Then I pull out the photos from when I had gotten down to 150lbs and remind myself that losing weight isn't impossible it's just hard work.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm just getting started so I'll have to get back to you on that one....

I don't want to be the fat friend anymore! I want to feel comfy in my own skin and feel sexy.
Goal (Long):
I want to lose 70 lbs and gain lean muscle and feel confident whether in regular clothing or a bikini. I want to reshape how I feel about myself, gain more energy, and self-confidence.
Me too! How do you find the motivation to get to the gym before or after work knowing that your going to be standing on your feet all day or that you just came from standing up all day!!?? I find it so hard to motivate myself to get to the gym before work, I have bad knees and I'm...
My knees hurt from all the physical work I do. So, I take glucosamine and it seems to help. I know all our bodies are different, but this helped me. I like your profile quote. Man or woman, we all want to look good.
Congrats on the job! Do you have access to a recumbent bike? If so, that would provide the least amount of impact for you if you're sore...let me know!
Check Amazon.com, their prices seem to be better. You don't need all the fancy stuff on it. Just make sure it's a Polar (they are more compatible with the gym's cardio machines) Maybe around $50?
I'm glad you're back in the gym!! I know what you mean about the cardio...ugh!! Do you have a heart rate monitor?? I use one religiously to make sure my cardio is in the range I want. I really think it's the best way to train!!
hey sorry 2 hear bout all that da best thang 4 u 2 do is keep goin w/ur trainin stay strict w/ur diet & do what u can in terms of workin out & of course gotta luk 4 another job butt once u feel betta bout urself all that will com w/mor confidence best of luk & keep me posted
Just a bit of a setback... don't let it get you down!! Do you know how many times I started and stopped throughout the years?? TONS!! Start fresh tomorrow and take it one day at a time...baby steps!!
yea i think sometimes just getting out of the house into the gym atmosphere can help keep you on track even if you barely workout lol..i was terrible this weekend, alcohol and too much food, so i feel crappy but just forcing myself to remain on track all week..good luck with the job hunt :)
