That's too bad about the registration. I just happened to be online at the right time and saw on a running forum that people were saying the race was filling up. It closed less than 12 hours later. Good luck the next time.

Hope the training is going well. I signed up for the Boston Marathon last Thursday, one day before it filled up and registration closed. I think VT Dad is planning to run it so I may see him there.

Congratulations! I signed up last Thursday night, less than 24 hours before registration closed. I knew the race was filling up much faster than last year but at the time didn't realize just how close I was to missing out. See you there!

Sorry to hear about the lack of direction. From experience I've come to think the key is to focus on what you like best and subordinate everything else to that. For me it's running, and I find I can keep up my diet -- a huge challenge because I like to eat-- more effectively when it's to make me a better runner rather than just to give me more visible abs, something I just don't care about enough. Good luck getting your mojo back!

That's too bad about the shoulder. It's so much harder to train with injury, that's why injury-avoidance is at the top of my list as a component of training. Good luck getting ready for the marathon.

Hey, good to hear from you. Doing well. Just started my umpteenth diet and am hoping to lose some excess weight around the middle. I've got a half marathon this weekend so I'm gearing up for that. What's your training focus these days?
