I have worked out inconsistently since high school but I have never really pushed myself until recently.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of leaving the gym and knowing that I just kicked my ass. I love that it gives me energy to get through my busy days and I love when people notice changes that I haven't seen yet.
How I Stay Motivated:
When my wife passed away, I was on all kinds of anti-depressants and gained tons of weight. The gym helped me to get control of my emotions and I can see the difference it makes in my mood when I do and don't go. And now I try to spend a little time each day reading a training or inspirational story and I look in the mirror and pretend to see what I'm capable of.

When life kicks you, make sure it kicks you forward!
Learning to push myself past my comfort zone. It sucks, but I love it!
Goal (Long):
I'm tired of setting goals and letting life get in the way. I want to look in the mirror and be proud of my accomplishments and not make excuses. No new year's resolutions this year. It's do or die time!
No MT contest? That is disappointing. I wonder what happened. Would be cool to sit in on that meeting. "Ah, let's send the staff to Tahiti with that money this year!" :p Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Phaymus!
yeah they are strict on it, as soon as i won, they took me straight to the back for a drug test/i could barely do it cuz i havent drank lol/John Lankford the promoter is a very great/humble guy.i was gonna make it,but i relaxed that day

Thanks for the add & info. James. As far as the tat goes, I've always been drawn to Koi's, the meaning, the colors. Good luck with your training. Mike.
Phaymus,
You still hanging in there brother. I fighting to look silly cut at the end, I find funny how light my weight is and thinking how much more I want to cut the last 3 weeks!
take care,
danny
How goes it, James? Hey, I thought of getting a star tattooed on my left inner wrist. Nothing fancy, just a solid black star, maybe two inches by two inches. The thought passed quickly enough. Haven't gotten any new ink since 2001. :-) I hope your week is going well!
Phaymus,
I am doing really good bro, and you? Actually I have lost almost 8 inches off my waist! It's going to be almost 80 in la and we have no school today so it's tanning day for me!
How are you doing homie?
take care,
Danny
thanks man, i appreciate that! this contest has been a blessing for me really, its amazing how easily you can motivate yourself when there is $$$ at stake!
Phaymus,
What up dog? Today was leg training and I am getting tougher and tougher as this goes on. How is everything with you? I actually sucessfully fought off the flu while training.
take care,
danny
