im so ambitious, but hard because my lifting right now consists of mainly just olympic lifts for discus and shotput throwing. how about you?

Yeah, I never wanted to excersize or lift, but i wanted a big bench so I was kind of enthusiastic about it, but nothing extreme. I can remember it being really painful and tiring at first. Then you see yourself grow in size and strength and thats when the game begins. Just lift with him and tell him to stick with it for awhile because it gets to become something you enjoy doing. Tell him he has to be tough. good luck!

thanks man. I think the best excersize that i've done for my traps is kind of my own form in a way. Bent over rows but bring thr bar up to the lower part of your chin in stead of chest or wherever. with a hard squeeze at the top. then heavy dumbell shrugs. 4 sets of 6. thats basically it.
