Was into it during my teens and early 20's. Stopped for my 30's, had a child and when I felt too tired all the time to play with my kid, I decided I had to get back in shape. Started back up when I turned 40 and haven't looked back since. Even injuries will not stop me.
Why I Love It:
I love the natural high it gives me and the shape I can maintain while aging.
How I Stay Motivated:
I see other people in my age group and it scares the crap out of me. LOL
BB Accomplishments:
Just staying fit with the injuries I've had is my main accomplishment. Herniated discs years ago and was told I had degenerative disc disease and that I shouldn't be lifting anything heavy ever again. Yeah, ok. With the Lord as my training partner, I won't be denied.

What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Shoulders, lower back, knees, forearms and the list goes on. I usually have some kind of ache or pain. I am careful in how I lift and don't do any exercises that cause me pain.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Just stopping by to say "Hey" and see how things are with you? Nice website you have set up and your progress has been worthy of a "10" ... keep on motivating folks with what you've accomplished.
I was reading your bio and have to say we have a lot in common. What I wanted to know was did you have surgery for your herniated disk and if not any particular exercises to help.
What kind of split are you on now? I love the workout thread that you started. How did you do on your Push/Pull/Legs split? Each 1x per week, right? That's what I'm trying right now.
Hey, Overload. I like your workout threads. Simple and to the point. I believe you've taken abbreviated training to the next level. I CAN'T believe you weigh less than 170 (going by your pics). Any new pics?
hey bro you replied to my thread on beer guts at 40.
You look great. I hope to look like that when I'm 44. I need to start now it's not that far off. Add as a friend if you'd like.
Love your never say die attitude. That's what got you a fantastic powerhouse physique. That's the look I'm shooting for. Checked out more of the Vince Gironda approach you were talking about. In many ways he was way ahead of his time. When heavy sets take a toll. I'm goin' to try the Iron guru's approach. Seems it could optimize gh. Thanks for the fine video you posted, and best of luck with all your goals, in bbing and in life. The power your physique radiates is an inspiration.
You are accomplishing your goal and even exceeding it with class and dignity. You present a well muscled, healthy and dedicated individual who believes in leading by example and I congratulate you on all of your hard work and determination.
