How I Started:
I matured early and stopped growing before high school and a few of my friends thought it would benefit me to start lifting in addition to my other sports.
Why I Love It:
I had two surgeries that kept me out of D1 college soccer so I needed something to fill the void....found it and love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
Its enjoyable and its what I look forward to when I wake up, that's enough motivation for me.

Lol I am coming off major injuries and set backs. I think I am looking pretty good for a guy about to turn 38 who has only been back in the gym for 6 months.

like you said, alot of close stance squatting, leg presses, heavy leg extensions are great but not too good for the knee's, smith machine close stance squats work well too, alternate between them and you will see - Jim
