Two years ago I could not do five consecutive push-ups.(Now I can) I could not even hang from a chinning bar for longer than five seconds, so a chin-up was out of the question.(Now I can) I was almost 215 lbs of 24% B.F. My blood pressure was 170/95 and cholesterol was 210. It was time to do something after almost seven years of sedentary existence...(So, I did!)
After 27 months; bp 125/75, cholesterol 128. Wt. 170 BF%9.5-11

How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the gains in strength and loss of fat. It feels great to be able to do everyday tasks more efficiently. I am also motivated by seeing the progress and success of others. There are so many success stories on this site.

Oletimerchanged Overall Goal: "To improve faster than I decline. At 62 I find not losing ground is a victory..lol."
Firstly Gary has become a good friend here on BB.com. He's dedicated and his progress is next to phenomenal. Check out his gallery and progress pics and I'm sure you will agree. Like me he has his first show coming very soon and it's hard not to be inspired and identify with someone of seemingly like intentions. And best of all, he's a Christian.
I watched Ken compete in the first show I had ever seen in Indy. I knew then that's what I wanted to do. He is also one of the few people on here that I have actually met and talked with face to face. Great guy, who knows his stuff.
My first contest, Mr. Natural Indiana, was a memorable experience. I competed only in the Grandmaster Division (50 & over), as I didn't want to overload my circuits the first time out with crossovers into other divisions..
I placed 5th of 6 competitors and was quite pleased with...
AMAZING.
Some people use age as a convenient excuse. 'I'm to old too start, or, 'I could never do that at my age.' Other people, though, go on to achieve their greatest accomplishments in life in their later years.
Keep showing them the way.
