The iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The iron will always kick you the real deal. The iron is always a great reference point, the all knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch-black. I have found the iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me or never runs. Friends may come and go but 200 pounds will always be 200 pounds.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
Depends on what you call a partner, i have people that work out with me but noone as dedicated as i am, i need a good partner that will push back when i push, one that will challenge me and not whimp outDepends on what you call a partner, i have people that work out with me but noone as dedicated as i am, i need a good partner that will push back when i push, one that will challenge me and not whimp ...more

So yesterday was the start of a brand new diet and workout routine for contest prep. And let me tell yah i always used to diss on high rep training but i have adapted to it and i would say i am using LIGHTER weights but not light. And it is kicking my ass i usually only sweat near the end of...
Nothing to speacial I just train heavy and hard. If it feels easy ill shoot for 20 reps then increase weight until I cant push passed 12 reps thats the weight I will use. An hours worth of weight training then 20 minutes cardio.
Les, your progress pics look great. Excellent back double biceps and lat pose. How's your diet been going the past few days? My training continues to go very well and even though I do not have a comp planned I can tell you that I am thinking about it. -Jeff
Cool! Keep me updated with your training and contest prep work. It's time for me to change up my training come August but I need to think about what I want to accomplish. -Jeff
Good idea letting your knee heal. Not a good combination with heavy squats. My 5X5 has been going very well. I'm into Week 8 of 12 and the weight is getting interesting. I have also been watching my diet to continue leaning out for summer. -Jeff
Les, you are much to kind. I was going to ask how you have been but I can tell from your latest progress pic that you have continued to move some serious iron even with the reduced gym time. Also, cool look you have going on too. Keep training hard and cutting up for your show in September! -Jeff
Hey Les, you are looking awesome, man! You will do very well in March since you already have the lean and ripped look going on while packing on additional lean muscle. The show I am targeting is here in MI in April. I'm working with jcon40 to adjust my diet and training to get me on the path to lean and ripped starting Jan. 1. Happy Holidays! -Jeff
