Date: May 07, 2009
Location: Idaho, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Other
Bodyweight: 145 lb (65.9 kg)

Organization: NGA
Contest: Utah Open Natural Bodybuilding Competition
Date: Apr 11, 2009
Location: Utah, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Men's Bodybuilding
Bodyweight: 157 lb (71.4 kg)
Place: dnf
Comments: This was the biggest show that NGA has had in Utah--73 competitors. I was in two classes--Novice light-weight against 11 other young bucks, and Masters (over 40) against 6 guys in their 40s. My big moment was the evening's posing routine. The audience was very supportive of a grandpa up there flexing. The show was done very professionally.
Organization:
Contest: Over-40 Amateur of the Week
Date: Dec 20, 2008
Location: Idaho, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Men's Bodybuilding
Bodyweight: 155 lb (70.5 kg)
Place: 1
Comments: I am honored to be included as #144 of the Over-40 Amateurs. I have been motivated for years by looking at the previous winners. I hope my pics and bio will do the same for others, especially for those that might think they are too old to look fit.
Organization: INBA
Contest: USA Challenge Natural--Utah State Muscle Classic
Date: Oct 18, 2008
Location: Utah, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Men's Bodybuilding
Bodyweight: 155 lb (70.5 kg)
Place: 1
Comments: ABA/INBA has a class called "ultra masters" for those 60-69 years old. The show was small, but I had a great time. It was a good reward for the 2 months of "abnormal" workouts and nutrition. I'd have never believed that posing would have taken so much time and energy. I spent 2-3 hours every day for 2 weeks in posing trunks in front of a mirror trying to get the muscles flexed on cue.
