In June 2005 I was starting to push 250 lbs. and not feeling so good. Over the next year and a half I did the South Beach Diet and lost over 50 pounds. I was feeling much better but every time I looked at myself in the mirror there was some out of shape dude looking back at me. It made me mad to see what I had become. In November 2007 my company offered discounted gym memberships as part of an employee wellness program. I decided that this was my opportunity to "man-up" and get myself back in shape. I have been working out since then, December 3, 2007. A year later and I'm seeing some favorable changes. I feel great!
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel good about myself and others. It challenges me and I can see the results of my efforts. My attitude is much better too.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like to read magazine articles about body building. Coming to this site also keeps me motivated especially when I see some of the terrific results others are getting.
BB Accomplishments:
I keep going to the gym.

Goal (Long):
I've been screwing around for a year and a half now. It's been up and down but I've gained a lot of muscle and increased my strength tremendously. It's time to get serious NOW and get my fat butt and gut in gear and get the look I want. I've got 6 months to do it! Men, I need your help to keep me honest. A little attitude toward me would be helpful.
I'm totally psyched by your attitude and the videos you've posted. Appreciate the inspiration. Makes me wanna' go to the gym right NOW and work my butt off! BTW great job on your "project". You're a BEAST!

Why I like this video: Bronco Mendenhall is the head football coach of the BYU Cougars. He surfs, rides a Harley and does board riding. Cool dude! Dave, thanks for the add and your kind words! I don't wear my kilt often due to not just having lots of occasions that would justify it however I do enjoy it also. Very comfortable!
haha yah i wish it was because of a chick, then it would have been more worth it. naw i dove for a football in flag football and went full force into the ground with my shoulder!! 6 to 8 weeks for full recovery!

Hey man. Your chart is coming along nicely! I have been slacking off for the last couple of weeks. Work has been kicking my butt and has eaten into my gym time. To make matters worse, we are going to the fair tomorrow. Have to get a run in 1st in the AM and focus on protein at the fair!

Ahh, yes...Bread, the staff of life and bane of our workout existence! I love it so much I practically cut it out all together because once I get going on it, I want to eat the whole loaf!

Congrats to you on gettin under 20% body fat, as for myself things are going well just eating cleaner more. I was able to gain some muscle density and without any extra fat so went from 302 to 311 and still at 13% bodyfat, about to throw in some cardio to get that down....Here comes the fun
