When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
My main aim was to exercise in order to aid my weight loss plan and started off as necessity rather than really wanting to work out. Soon changed my opinion!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of actually trying to achieve a better body, it's the main time i enjoy on my own with my iPod with nothing else on my mind apart from my workout - perfect!
How I Stay Motivated:
I remind myself why I am working out and what I am wanting to achieve, keeping things interesting and alternating between different things help keep me motivated!
Have a speedy recovery from my shoulder operation and then finally get back running and getting my fitness levels up. Muscle gain can come later.
Goal (Long):
Since being told by my surgeon he's never seen a shoulder injury in someone so young (usually people 30+ years older than me) my main focus is to sort this out while maintaining a reasonable level of fitness through stationary cycling and other forms of light cardio. Hopefully continue to lose weight to my goal...however i realise some of my loss is going to be muscle as i am completely unable to do any weight training.
Got an MRI scan and shoulder scoping under anaesthetic coming up the week before my half marathon....so won't be fit for it.
Need to stay positive and finally get through this injury.
Never thought this would happen.
Seem to be losing more weight and fat since not being at the gym! So it's not all bad!
Abs..well, get my body fat percentage down so my abs shine through!
Patience is key and I certainly need it.
Just can't wait to get back to my weight training and gain some muscle AGAIN...*phew*
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%

after browsing a lot of other people's bodyspace pages i have decided progression photos are the way forward. It's amazing to see how people's dedication has paid off and is really visible for all to see - i imagine it's an amazing motivational boost to see how your body is changing, even if it...
Hope the shoulder heals up soon! Know how you feel i had a problem with mine too! But don't let it get you down just focus on that goal! Make surgery the last resort, so get to that physio they can work miracles!!! -Ben.
I'm doing pretty good thanks! U know just the usual work, train, eat, sleep! Well done with the 10 miles! You must be on course for the 1/2 marathon then? Injured your shoulder? I thought you were meant to be running?? -Ben.
I see.. make sure you are getting those 6-8 meals a day in and it should keep your muscle! Hopefully it isn't muscle coming off and it is good lbs you are dropping!
Keep up the good work, like me you have a great attitude to the gym, When i started it it was hard but I love going now. you look great, try not to see the negative things and just keep it up. Your wanting to cut bodyfat, what type of cardio are you doing? I reccmmend HIIT for burning bfat. Goodluck:)
Cool. I used to run cross country but I hate distance running these days! Not much planned for LA.. Just a little modelling and maybe look into getting a paid cash job somewhere when i'm out there. Planning to travel to vegas and other places for a while, too.
Have a great weekend.
