How I Started:
I have always played sports at a competitive level and soon learned that weight lifting gave me a competitive advantage while playing. When i was in high school i always lifted regularly but never did it correct, as in i didnt have a schedule or monitor or track any gains i made. Once i got to college, my strength coach for baseball soon pointed out the importance of tracking progress as well as many other useful tips which i still use today.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me the oppurtunity to let loose for those 2 hours. When i walk into the gym to work out, i no longer am stuck behind a desk working, instead i get to move and throw weight around. I also love working out cause you get to watch your body make changes, once you start seeing some positive changes after all the hardwork you've put in, you start to feel a lot better about yourself.
How I Stay Motivated:
When i was a sophomore in college i was introduced to the movie "Pumping Iron", watching the movie alone once is enough to keep me going through the month, but my main motivation are the posters of Arnold from the movie taken by George Butler. My favorite one and one i refer to most often is the one titled "visualization" its a picture of Arnold flexing his bicep in the mirror of some bathroom before the Olympia contest, the poster hangs in my room and i look at it every day.
Just purchased the e-book about x-reps, pretty interesting stuff. I'm lookin to maintain the weight I am while also throwin on some size and the workout plan they give looks pretty efficient at achieving that. Once i read the book and schedule the workouts ill post some workouts and results...
