When I Started:
How I Started:
I have always wanted to flatten my belly and just improve my body shape in general. I suppose the first time I actively did something about it was probably 2007, but I was never able to presevere. As a result, I always went through these phases of "I'm gonna do it this time!" and then "Ugh, I hate this" or "I'm too busy.." or both. So from then till now, I have been in and out of active and non-active phases.
Why I Love It:
I hate cardio. I do enjoy dancing and badminton, but if I schedule it as my cardio workout, it starts to look less appealing.
I enjoy strengthening exercises^^. I'm not sure why I like it more than cardio, but perhaps it's because I like the idea of being strong. It also feels a lot less boring than jogging does.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a very hard time staying motivated, but I get motivation from looking at other people's progress pictures and seeing what they've acheived, looking at myself (whether it be very unsatisfying or "yes! I see some results!"), thinking about how cool it would be to finally get that body I want, and thinking about how great it would feel to finally prove to myself and everyone that I can presevere.

I want to stick to my exercise plans for once, lose the excess fat and add strong, hard muscles.
Goal (Long):
I want to get rid of my belly bulge and build abs, perk up my butt, slim down my thighs, get my arms more lean, and be a STRONG WOMAN in general ;) I don't like being weak or physically incapable, so that is one large reason for wanting to bodybuild.

During the end of March, I felt as if I had made some real progress, but in actuality I don't think I did. Then I don't really know what happened but it seems I've GAINED again (I hadn't done enough muscle training for the weight gained to be from gaining muscle mass..)
Thanks for the comment - glad you could pull some wisdom from my quote - it's the positive attitude that keeps us going! Once you hit your groove, they'll be no stopping ya!
Hey motivation will be there when you recognize the improvement. You appear to be pretty fit now so it could happen soon for you. You really can get started without a gym, I did. Its amazing what you can get done at home with little equipment. But just dont exercise near a couch or bed LOL. I travel so gym access is tough for me as well. Good luck! CV
