When I Started:
Feb, 2008
How I Started:
I was already in to working out before I got pregnant in 2007. I just did cardio and a small bit of strength training, but I didn't know what I was doing. I got up to 178lbs while I was pregnant, which I gained mainly in my lower body. I went on a cardio binge after I had my daughter and lost all of the weight within 3 months. My lowest weight after having my daughter was 117lbs. I took pictures of myself about a year ago and I was really disappointed b/c I had lost a lot of muscle in the process of losing all of that weight. I'm a natural meso (thank goodness), so I put that muscle back on fast. I've gained 6 pounds since then and I'm leaner than ever before. I subscribed to Muscle and Fitness: Hers and began pushing myself further and further. I started weight lifting less than a year ago, and didn't start writing and following along with routines until around 5 to 6 months ago. I've come a long way in such a short time, and I plan on improving more and more every day!
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel and look great! It's a natural high for me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Depends on the day. Some days I don't feel very motivated, but I get up and do it anyway! I find that walking around my place in my underwear and walking past the mirror a lot keeps me motivated. lol It shows me how far I've come and how much more I need to accomplish.
BB Accomplishments:
Increased Vascularity, Strength, and Muscle Definition.
Cutting right now...then refocusing on muscle growth in January.
Goal (Long):
I've always been stocky, but I've also always had a layer of fat over my muscles. I would love to become cut and toned without losing my muscle mass at the same time. I change my workout program every 6 to 8 weeks to keep my body guessing. Even after having my daughter, I was able to keep my washboard abs, but I would like to go several steps further and look crazy ripped!
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I usually drink a protein shake about 30 minutes before my workout and I think about where I want to be physically and how I'm going to get there.

Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
How can I take care of my child if I can't take care of myself?? By being a healthy individual and taking care of myself, I am setting an excellent example for my daughter. She is only 18 months and she already lifts a one pound weight in front of a mirror and runs in place when I am running on the treadmill. :)How can I take care of my child if I can't take care of myself?? I got my bodyfat tested today via dunk tank..and I must say that I was shocked at the results. My body fat percentage is 13.8% and my RMR is over 1500. I thought my bodyfat percentage was going to be around 18-20%.

Oh man- throwing up? Ugh, I've been brought to that point in my cutting cycles too. Thankfully I am relaxed a little on diet- still clean, but carb cycling. Just happens today is my med-carb day, so I can enjoy some potatoes and cranberries (but no gravy or whipped cream). I'm excited! Hope you have an awesome TG- fill your belly with tons of turkey!
LOL well I'm glad you pop in to say hello. Most just drop and don't say anything! Awesome new avi...you'll be perfect for the shoot! Happy Holidays hun, enjoy some good eats. :)
Oh I think I may have done it wrong, I didn't like the idea that I was *Stalking* someone, so I deleted that area. But it said you were still on my *Contacts* so that's odd. But no Problem! & Thank You!! :)
