Overall Goal: Done with all my surgeries...back down at 135 as of Jan 22 due to inability to eat solid food for 6 weeks. Transformation begins now...movitation has never been higher.
Fit Status:
NightRyder has not entered a Fit Status.
Ask NightRyder for an update.
Growing up I'd always do situps/pushups and light freeweights but I really started getting into it when I graduated from college in '05...primarily b/c I got shipped off to a project in Colorado Springs and had absolutely nothing to do. It worked out well.
Why I Love It:
It's a huge confidence builder for me as I've always been on the short/skinny side...it's amazing how people look at you differently when you're in shape. Besides that though, it's a great focus point for me and a way to keep my life centered and on track.
How I Stay Motivated:
By people telling me what I'm not capable of...thats the best way to get me to do it and shove it in their face (petty you say? perhaps...but we all have different motivators). Any rich kid can buy expensive clothes or a nice car...but when the shirts come off the girls arent looking at their clothes or their car anymore...;)
BB Accomplishments:
2-Rep Max of 235 in late Spring of '06
12-Rep Weighted Dip -> BW + 135 lbs strapped to waist

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Bad form...trying to go for too much weight and sacrificing the movement and overall point of you doing the exercise in the first place.
damn your progress is coming along quickly, how do you put on mass without the fat coming with it? my progress is somewhat lagging, what's your secret?? keep up the good work
How you doing now little bro? better?
I go mostly to Northlake La fitness, sometimes to ansley morning for cardio.

Keep touch. and keep training, and be strong.

Peace ,
beshara.
im trying to pack on some more lean muscle mass without putting on the fat. My ultimate goal is 200lbs. Im almost there. But i always get close and then lose some weight.
How's everything going for you? You'd be surprised what your muscles will remember, even after a long while. You still look great, and your physique still has the form foundation from what you had. You'll get it. Good luck.
I read your thread...very descriptive. I hurt my Wrist exactly 2 weeks ago to the day, and have been contemplating what to do as I went back to the gym today and it still hurt.....
David, you are doing good. Dont give up. I had 2 rotator cuff surgeries, each arm. Im getting there. You have youth on your side, all you need is to reactivate the desire again. Dont give up, on yourself. You were there before and you looked great. You can do it again. Hang in there.
