In high school I played and excelled in most all sports. I played football, baseball, and even did powerlifting. It was always very difficult for me to gain weight, but pulling weight was a different story. In powerlifting I competed at the 123 and 132 weight classes. We won state as a team and I was runner-up individually. So since the time I was about 14 years old, I have been in the gym working out, or on the track getting in shape. However, while in college I did slack off a bit. Once out of college, I was back on track but it only lasted a few months. I went years without touching a weight or putting on my running shoes. Thankfully my metabolism is extremely high or I would have been a total mess physically! It was around this past Christmas that I decided to get back on track. I had forgotten how great it felt to be in shape, have a zest for life, and be full of energy 24/7. BUT, I went on vacation in April of 2008 and when I returned, the week long vacation turned into more than a week vacation from working out. From April to mid-August I stepped foot inside the gym less than 5 days total. Of all things, my 27th birthday (nothing special) rolled around during mid-August and something just clicked. I decided to get back on the gym...keep moving, and make no excuses about days off. So, needless to say, I'm back on track again and this time I'm STAYING on track and will keep moving! No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
PS...I apologize for the lack of "progress pics". I'm in the process of getting some taken soon.
Why I Love It:
It brings about self-confidence, pride, motivation, and tons of will-power and energy! The everyday stresses that life puts on your shoulders seem to just completely dissipate after a great sweat. You also earn a big sense of accomplishment in more ways than one.
How I Stay Motivated:
In the fact that I have set my goals in stone along with a plan to reach them. Also, knowing how proud my family will be as well as myself when seeing the final product and how all the hard work, blood, and sweat has finally paid off.
BB Accomplishments:
1999 - Big School State Powerlifting Champion

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.
Blaaah! D@mn "love" handles! Gross. The vacation at Waikiki Beach in Hawaii that took me off the track.
3 1/2 weeks after starting again! Gettin' there...slowly but surely. With diet and cardio hopefully the lower abs will come along! Having a hard time puttin' on weight though!
To build a bigger, better, stronger, and all-natural body enroute to my ultimate "Big Picture" goals.
Goal (Long):
I would like to gain about 15lbs. of lean muscle and get involved with FAS-NET/fitness modeling. I have quite a ways to go physically, but with high hopes I'm positive that I can get to where I'd like to be! I'm anxious to see the physical changes then see where it may lead.
After I begin achieving those goals, I'd like to become a CPT and help others achieve their own goals. Owning my own gym at some point down the road and getting out of the "corporate" world has definitely crossed my mind as of late. We'll have to see what happens!
Aside from my fitness goals that pertain to weights, I'm also starting to train for a couple of half marathons. Ick! I used to hate running but it has quickly become a new addiction and passion along with lifting weights.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 15 lb

This is a workout I read in Men's Health...so-called the "Scrawny to Brawny" workout. It's mainly for those who have a busy lifestyle with minimal time to spend at the gym. Even though I do hit the gym at least 5 days a week, I follow this routine 3 out of the 5 days, every...
