A colleague introduced me to bodybuilding. I was a really skinny kid back then and knew nothing about lifting weights or nutrition. I trained for a short period, laid off for a couple of years, and then came back to it about 6 years ago. The past two years have been the most serious and dedicated ones - and my dedication keeps on growing.
Why I Love It:
I love the visible signs of progress and the feeling of accomplishment - you set a goal and then do what you have to do to achieve it. No matter what level of training experience one might be at, it takes dedication, hard work and focus.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching other people having success in bodybuilding.
Being determined on constantly improving my self and keeping my body fit and healthy.
BB Accomplishments:
Haven't competed yet - don't know if I ever will.
I've transformed my body from being a skinny teen when I started to being a 220 lb. man in reasonable shape.
Today I had to do a full body routine at the gym, because I won't be able to work out the next couple of days due to a bodybuilding show.
Now, I started off with squats. I had only done 2 sets and not being near my max when I felt this weird pain in my groin. It felt like someone was giving...
Right now I'm using a 4 day split system using high intensity and low volume. Along side this program I'm using Chad Waterbury's "Perfect 10 Training" for chest and biceps (see link below).
10 pounds is coming slowly! Seems I lose weight when I pound the weight hard! Haha. Ordered some protein to help and I am eating some ice cream now for a head start!! LOL
