Background

When I Started: Jan 2009
HOW I STARTED:

Weightlifting captivated me with its technique and resulting challenges. The first time I picked up a weight with professional guidance I was hooked and still remain so.

WHY I LOVE IT:

It has truly boosted my self esteem and self body Image in ways I never imagined. I always thought that weightlifters were egotistical and full of themselves but now being one I realize that with a humble attitude and teachability you can accomplish anything with hard work and dedication.

With all of us young or old, great or small, meek or magnificent, there comes a time of choice. A time when we either must truly take our lives by the horns, look at them in the face and say "Do I like who I really am?" or just mope around in a depressed state of mind and body hoping that someone is going to save us from our own often self-induced troubles.
