It was introduced to me by my junior high football coaches in order to get better and i just loved doing it ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it relaxes me when nothing else will, it never screams at me (like girls lol), and is always there for me.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by getting partners to go lifting and joining sites to learn more information.
BB Accomplishments:
I would really love to gain about 10 pounds by August 13th for football season. I would also like to have more endurance, speed, and strength for football.

No one really likes to shop for food - especially if you have to go two or three times a week because your son is bulking (lol)! Maybe you should offer to help so you can be sure of getting the right kinds of food for your bodybuilding? Though I'm guessing your family eats fairly healthy already.
But eating everything is what makes bulking fun! And I wouldn't worry too much - though your Dad is concerned about the household budget he knows that you're a "growing boy" so what if you plan on just growing a lot more than the average teenager. You gotta feed the machine to build the mass, right?
I'm hoping to keep doing great and so far so good. I didn't realize that bulking had it's own season - maybe we should send out greeting cards (lol)? Bulking is enough fun that it should be year round, but alas, sometimes you have to cut to see those abs - I do at least, and one day I'm going to see them! Hope your bulking is going well.
Hey, I see you've updated some of your stats - big jump in your lifts, great work! And I see that even though your weight is up slightly your bodyfat is down. Perfect! How are you checking your bodyfat, btw? I find it hard to believe that your at 15% given your level of definition.
And I can assure you I don't think I'm lifting too light right now! I hit the bench again tonight, so we will see how the higher weight goes. But I'm feeling pretty good today so I'm hoping to blast through it without too much trouble.
You have an impressive workout schedule. Whats your rest days and how long do you workouts last. I have a hard time if I don't rest one day in between workouts I think it might be my diet.
You might as well go for 6 feet even (lol). I find that going heavy really helps to pack on mass and as long as you have someone to help push you take advantage of it. He's right, most people will let up when no one's watching - but if you really want it, you have to push just as hard when it's just you! Keep reaching for the gold!
And you still might get taller - so you could beat Jay size-wise in a few years all around. It's great that you have someone else helping to push you - keep taking good advice, push yourself to your limits, learn all you can and you'll reach any goal you set. Gee, I should be a motivational speaker don't you think?
Ha! Well, if you're going to have goals you might as well make sure they are BIG goals - and they don't come much bigger than Jay! And I think you already match him in height at least. Of course for real size, you couldn't beat Lou Ferrigno back in the day - both massive and tall (6'5"). Have a happy fourth of July - don't spend it all in the gym.
I wouldn't know about having abs, so I'll just take your word for it that it's great. Yours look especially defined in the progress pic - and since you are getting bigger and more defined at the same time I'd say that you've got the whole bodybuilding thing figured out! Keep up the great work - I bet you have a lot of growing left to do before you say "yeah, I'm big enough."
I should have checked your chart and progress pics before replying - I have to say wow! To be back at 172 and still have abs like that, must feel pretty good. Great shape to your chest and your arms look a lot fuller even at the "artistic" angle you've used. Keep up the great work! You might be pushing 200 by the time the summer is over.
Cool - I'm glad it's going well. 172 that puts you back up to where you were before track doesn't it. Keep pushing and growing - football season will be here before you know it.
How's the training going? Mine has improved over the past couple of weeks - I've added a little size to my arms and lost some on my waist. Hope you're doing well, too.
I knew a kid who had a bulge to his bicep in third grade - now he's kind of skinny though and never built on his potential. So, it's good that you realize that genetics can't do it all. But, we've got to figure out how to keep you from losing strength and size when you're doing your other sports.
True "Hulkdom" might take two summers - but if you want it bad enough, and train hard enough you'll get there. I'm betting that you can at least gain back your "old" size and add another 10 quality pounds besides before you start school again. The closest I'll probably come to that this year myself though will be in the movie theatres when I'm watching the new Hulk movie!
