Overall Goal: I am very happy with my basic V-shape, however I want to add another 15lbs of mass and then cut down to 175lbs.

How I Started:
I was involved in an IED that took my hearing and left me with shrapnel in my face and a new outlook on life. I started with another wounded soldier and fell in love with lifting and gaining.
Why I Love It:
I love being able to transform my body thru MY will and determination. Plus it keeps my mind off the job I can't do right now due to injury.
How I Stay Motivated:
Honestly, just seeing other lifters and amateur to pro body builders. I want what others have and only have myself to blame for goals I haven't met yet.
BB Accomplishments:
Adding 8 lbs of mass in 2 weeks and getting my flat bench to 200lbs for the first time, even while deployed and injured.

Goal (Long):
I have so many goals I want with lifting. I want size of course. I have friends who see a difference in me already with gaining about 8 lbs of solid muscle while taking only protein. I would like for my heart to heal up so I can cycle back on N.O. Explode or some other type of Vasculator. Also, I want to improve my eating habits to include more fruits and vegetables. I have done really well about not cheating and eating crap food as hard as it is while being deployed. Most of all, I want to grow so my daughter and wife will always feel safe around me. Confindence is worth risking it all.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
By either focusing on how i want to look, listen to music, or making sure my workout partner never lets me skip a day.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
I have helped others with my knowledge of lifting. Have been offered a job at a couple nutrition stores and have met alot of old friends at local gyms.

What are your personal NON-FITNESS life goals?
To give my family the love, attention, and wealth that they deserve. The Army has taken alot of my time from them and I will do my best to not miss any more birthdays or holidays.
Gone are the days where I stand around the gym, wondering what to do, how much to lift, or am I doing this right. I realized today that the potential is there to take this to a new height. Im getting more and more confident about what I am doing and am thrilled when someone asks me...
One thing I gotta say is the rooms, not too bad. I am in Iraq and we have the same type of room setup. Well hey, I joined the group to be active with fitness and share thoughts so just wanted to say whats up!

Hummus is great! I use it for everything, I add it to my tuna, just for a little taste, dip my veggies in it, and even put it on chicken. Comes in all flavors, I like the original, but many like the roasted red pepper.
