How I Started:
I have always been active and did a lot of sports (soccer, track, horses), but I REALLY got into working out for benefits around 2004 and I became completely hooked! Because of some unusual circumstances, I battled with a pretty bad depression for about a year and a half and neglected myself and my workouts, leaving me the heaviest and the most out of shape I've ever been, but now I'm back and in charge again! I have decided to start off 2009 getting the "old me" back! Here I go!
Why I Love It:
When I'm in shape, I feel on top of the world. I'm more confident, healthy, and generally just...better. I get such an adrenaline rush from my workouts and it always makes me feel awesome for the whole day.
How I Stay Motivated:
I hung up my size 1 jeans right in the front of my closet so that I have to look at them every time I get dressed in the morning....works like a charm! Haha!
BB Accomplishments:
I will post those once they come. Just starting, so none yet, (other than getting started in the first place!).

I just want to feel great in my own skin. I don't really care about the number on the scale, all that matters to me is just how my clothes fit, and how confident I feel about my body. I want to have a long, healthy life, and enjoy it along the way.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
When I'm in shape, it's SO much easier to keep up with my two kids. How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
I was a teacher before staying home with my kids and back then, I did a lot of walking around the classroom (in HEELS!!), so I felt better all day long and my legs weren't tired at the end of the day. Now that I'm home, it just gives me the energy to chase my kids around without getting tired! I finally put some pictures up and I am absolutely terrified! I don't have a lot of self confidence usually, so it's hard to put pics up and have people critique me, but I'm doing it for motivation. I noticed that while I've been working out and trying to eat right, I could be doing SO much...
I took the weekend away to an undisclosed location to get my focus back after two pretty sorry weeks of training. I feel great now. I really needed that break.
3.5 yrs. and 17 mon. their a handful!! i have never put much time into abs(it shows) but now i'm making them a priority starting mar.2nd. you'll feel great being one of the HOT moms this summer!!
thats a hansome boy you got there! hows the training going? must be hard to have time for ubdates, i'm usualy online at 10 or 11 pm after the kids are asleep and the dishes are done.keep up the good work!
