When I Started:
Mar, 2009
How I Started:
I started working out a couple of years ago and then I quit. I'm not sure why but I just stopped and let my body go to you know where. I would binge drink on the weekends, eat fast food, smoked when I drank, chewed tobacco now and then. On top of all that I got no exercise AT ALL. When I think about it, its a testament to resilience of the body that I don't look even WORSE! So I had a moment of clarity, dusted off my old Arnold Schwarzenegger's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding and now my legs are killing me from doing his workouts...and I love it! I joined this site because I want to make sure that I stay on track and really get fit this time...stick to it you know! The transformations that I see on BB.com give me hope that I can do the same thing.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel when I get out of the gym and I've really accomplished something. Knowing that I'm doing something good for my body after all this neglect.
How I Stay Motivated:
BB.com, Arnold Schwarzenegger, looking at other people's transformations
BB Accomplishments:
I started going to the gym again!

I want to feel proud when I go to the beach. I want to be healthy and fit. I want to lose 80lbs and add muscle.
Goal (Long):
I am going to go to the gym at three times a week to start and go five times a week on a regular basis. I'm going to stop drinking in excess on weekends and focus on my body and health. I will stop using tobacco products of any kind...at all. I will eat clean; more vegetables and less fast food.
I had an important moment today. I visited Bodyspace for the first time in a few weeks today. In the back of my mind I was almost ashamed to go back on the site because I was back to doing all the things I said I wouldn't do. Eating unhealthy, drinking beer on the weekends, not working out...
Don't get paranoid about the +10. You can go up by just getting fully hydrated, and by engorging the muscles with blood (more fluid volume) by fully engaging them in your workouts.
Newman, you are a brave man and an inspiration. I just joined and I took my body photos, but I haven't posted them yet. They are brutal. I will do so in a little bit after I get make some changes.Kudos to you for being braver then me in posting photos. Mine will crack someones computer screen.
