My parents used to help a biker family who lived close to our house with clothing from my brother and myself. In return the biker daddy, who worked out heavily in his garage, started to weld a bench and back machine for me. The weights were also home fabricated and really heavy for me as a 13 year old! I started to work out, despite my parents advice, and enjoyed the results. I became very strong for my age and I loved the admiration of my friends. At 15 I went to a hard core gym in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The owner was Jammo Brizzi, a well known body builder at that time. He really motivated me and learned me a lot. After two years I gave up bodybuilding and started boxing, and later full contact Muay Thai, for a couple of years and I transformed my body completely into a lean fighting machine. But I missed the weights...I stopped sports when I was offered a good job and focussed only on commercial results with the same discipline as I used to do with my sport, resulting in solid business results but in a weak body with too much fat...12 months ago I started bodybuilding again and I am working my way up again to a killer body :-)
Why I Love It:
The looks and the Feel
How I Stay Motivated:
Once you have experienced clean food in combination with a regular work out you know nothing can beat this feeling!
An extra motivation is that I work out in three different gym's: I have a full equipped gym at home with Hammer and Life Fitness equipment and I go to a hard core gym in Antwerp, American Fitness. I frequently travel to Marbella (South Spain) and for my workouts I join Oxigeno, a nice gym at the sea side :-)
BB Accomplishments:
The gaining of 6 kgs (12 Lbs) of muscle in 12 months
I normally have a 6 day routine, working out in 3-day blocks so I train every muscle group twice a week, which I do in the mornings...In the evenings I do one hour on the cross trainer so I can burn the fat before I go to sleep. This works but it is not enough...In my weights work out I now do...
3 days in a row, im pretty proud with my diligence this week! i would like to do 2 a days the next 2 days just to try and up my cardio...keep me posted on your progress! i see them abs in your last progress pic!
hey big guy! yea, ive had a few set backs this past week...but im doing my best to overcome! how are you doing, hows the training? hoping to be back to my normal routine today! yeah, its just making bad food choices is what flared this up
currently I am training cardio am (empty stomach ) 6 mornings/week for 45-75min. I train weights 4 times/week with a 30 min cardio immediately after the 1 hour weight session. AND....on the other 2 days that I am not training weights I do a 90 min evening cardio session. One day completely off. BUt this is a cutting program....off season totally different. :)
Creatine up until 3 weeks out helps for the energy factor, after that you pwer out quickly , but training at that point is cardio based , weights are higher reps/sets lighter weight. The carb cycling I described is how many carbs/day. ex: Sat-0, Sun-1, Mon-2, Tues,-3, Wed- none...etc. that is a 20g serving for now. and yah absolutely positively no carbs after 4 pm on the Tuesday9 (or any day when cutting).
I am cycling now. no carb/3 carb/2 carb/1carb/no carb/2 carb/1 carb and I decreased the amount per meal from 30g to 20g. and thaqts good carbs only...brown rice, oats, etc.. soon, maybe this week I will go no carb. (except for the veggies.) will update my pics and progress on Sat.
