My parents used to help a biker family who lived close to our house with clothing from my brother and myself. In return the biker daddy, who worked out heavily in his garage, started to weld a bench and back machine for me. The weights were also home fabricated and really heavy for me as a 13 year old! I started to work out, despite my parents advice, and enjoyed the results. I became very strong for my age and I loved the admiration of my friends. At 15 I went to a hard core gym in Tilburg, The Netherlands. The owner was Jammo Brizzi, a well known body builder at that time. He really motivated me and learned me a lot. After two years I gave up bodybuilding and started boxing, and later full contact Muay Thai, for a couple of years and I transformed my body completely into a lean fighting machine. But I missed the weights...I stopped sports when I was offered a good job and focussed only on commercial results with the same discipline as I used to do with my sport, resulting in solid business results but in a weak body with too much fat...12 months ago I started bodybuilding again and I am working my way up again to a killer body :-)
Why I Love It:
The looks and the Feel
How I Stay Motivated:
Once you have experienced clean food in combination with a regular work out you know nothing can beat this feeling!
An extra motivation is that I work out in three different gym's: I have a full equipped gym at home with Hammer and Life Fitness equipment and I go to a hard core gym in Antwerp, American Fitness. I frequently travel to Marbella (South Spain) and for my workouts I join Oxigeno, a nice gym at the sea side :-)
BB Accomplishments:
The gaining of 6 kgs (12 Lbs) of muscle in 12 months
I normally have a 6 day routine, working out in 3-day blocks so I train every muscle group twice a week, which I do in the mornings...In the evenings I do one hour on the cross trainer so I can burn the fat before I go to sleep. This works but it is not enough...In my weights work out I now do...
What a gorgeous photo of you with your new born. I enjoy seeing strong, well muscled men (which you most certainly are) being able to show their tender, loving side. Too many times us males get locked into the hard, tough guy role and it is refreshing to see you expressing your gentle, caring side.
"The Creator has not given you a longing to do that which you have no ability to do."
You have some really beautiful photos on here of you and your family! Congrats on your gains and thanks for bringing a different element to the typical bb.com profile page.
ahahaha...TwinPeaks was my very secret passion when I was a little girl! I liked how twiated it was.
Actually having photoshoot with Michael Palmer in 3 weeks time. Might suggest your idea to him, only that in England is always wet and grey atm. Might need an umbrella shoot!!:) Like your sleeves btw.
Yeah I think meeting goals is a hard thing to achieve. That's why you should set yourself mini goals along the way to help you accomplish the main one. I'm sure you know that already, but it's funny how common sense gets lost when you're doing it for yourself versus someone else!!
nothing in particular, just try to tear it up with weights 4 times a week along with some cardio. except this weeks been horrible bc ive been sick with the flu :( what bout u?
