It started with contests with my friends from Home Depot. We lift together and it hits me that i was weak so i wanted to prove ppl wrong that I will be "built" and strong
Why I Love It:
It keeps my mind off the stress from school/work/and other drama that goes around me. I can do this in my own world,, on my own time, become stronger and know I am achieving childhood goals
How I Stay Motivated:
As a kid i was always seeing people in the gym benching 135. (standard 45 bar with (2)45 plates). regardless of size everyone pressed 135. So in my mind i thought hey if I can do full plates, ill be like one of the guys. and sure enough after some time of lifting I was able to press 135 once. Now i can do this as my average.
Then my next goal was to bench my weight and soon enough after a few months and rigourous training I pressed 170.
Every time I achieve a goal i automatically set another one - knowing I'll get it
BB Accomplishments:
Finally Bench pressed my weight 165 last month after a year of hard training (Pressed 170)

you are not gonna wanna here this, but i barely even train abs, maybe once a week. But in terms of lower abs, decline set-ups and hanging knee raises have worked for me.
