So today i hit legs and bicep. I started with squats and it went like this
set 1: 135-12 reps
set 2: 185-10 reps
set 3: 225-8 reps
set 4: 275-5 reps
set 5: 225-5 reps
set 6: 185-10 reps
And boy was I tired. I really felt the burn. then i went on to do walking lunges as follows:
Noticed you want to compete. Definitely enough development there to do a teen, and probably a novice, class before you turn 20. Very good thickness and muscle shape for this stage of your growth.
That's awesome!!! Keep it up man! What are your favorite BB videos?
Also one note... I know it says not to focus too much on warming up, but now that I'm older and I've got major tendonitis problems I'd disagree with that. Make sure especially when you train triceps that your elbows are good and warm! Don't just sling weight around.
I don't train solely with kettlebells but I work them into my workouts. I'd say for about 1.5 years. I like them they are great for endurance and explosive legs. Do you train with them?
Remember to recover... 1) Are you eating enough? 2) Getting at least 8hrs sleep? 3) Aside from lifting are you doing other activities? Basketball, running, etc that would cause some overtraining??
Make sure these things are in place.
