Overall Goal: I want to loose 28/36 pounds before december and maintain the muscle I already have. Then bulk up like crazy.

When I Started:
Mar, 2007
How I Started:
I've always enjoyed weights and because I played rugby for a long time since I was young I had to do something to get stronger than the opposition. But I never really knew what I was doing just use to through weights around and got some results but nothing amazing. Untill I bought the Arnold Schwarzenegger book, The encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding. This book has really made me understand how my body works. I've still got along way to go, but I'm loving it. And after a recent relapse, where I gained 12 pounds, some muscle but some from bad dieting I'm back on the wagon and purifying my diet and upping my cardio to see what i've built for the last 5 months. Will update pics soon.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel healthy and calm, you realise everything else should deffo take 2nd place to your body. It has such a posative affect on my mind more than anything. I just feel motivated to be able to do whatever it is I want. And it makes u realise anything is achievable if u are prepared to put the work in. One thing I love about weight training is it teaches you that nothing in life happens fast, its a constant grinde, but sticking with it pays u back.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just remembering how bad I felt and sluggish and lazy when I was eating crap and doing nothing.
BB Accomplishments:
I've got alot stronger now, I'm getting 15 reps out 352lbs on the leg press. And I've been deadlifting 308lbs for 2 reps which I'm pleased with.
Thanks for the compliments and thank your mother and once the book is out I will let you know. I have cut my cardio down right now as I am down to 9% bodyfat. I do about 2 sessions per week so as to maintain rather than try and cut down even further. Once you get to where you want to be you should be able to do the same depending on your diet. Keep pushing.
Day 1 chest and triceps, 2 back and biceps, 3 quads, hams and calf, 4 shoulders, 5 off and then start day 1 over but switch chest for back and do back and bi's first then chest and tris with days 3 and 4 the same. It is a 4 day on 1 off workout that I am finding great success with.
How are your workouts coming along? How many times per week do you get to the gym? Do you do cardio also? How many meals do you eat per day? I look forward to seeing you progress.
You want to and you are. I see that you are making good progress and wish you continued success. Push yourself to be the best that you can be and you will reap the rewards. I look forward to watching you progress.
