When I Started:
Apr, 2006
How I Started:
I started in highschool back in 2000 as a chubby kid, and really transformed myself. I was benching 325 at 16 and in great shape. I slacked my last year in 2002, and went into the Marines for 4 years. I was almost constantly deployed so I really never got back into lifting, and when
I was about to get out in 2006 I was out of shape.(you don't do much your last few months in)I took a month and really went on a strict program and the profile pic is the result. I slacked again due to the school/work transition but am looking to get back into it and stay there.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing the results and knowing just what to do to make my body react in a way I want it to.
How I Stay Motivated:
Comparing myself to others, striving to be the best.
BB Accomplishments:
Transforming my body in 2006 in a month from a chubby out of shape guy to a ripped fit one. It sucked every day but in the end it was worth it.
Hey!
I read your post about hypothyroidism---I have it too. A book I just found and so far I think it's pretty helpful, is called "The Hypothyroidism Sourcebook". I can't remember the authors name, but I'm sure you can find it on Amazon.com or something. There's information in there about diet, excercise, what is really going on with your body, and even supplements to take.
Good luck! Let me know if I can be of any help!
The difference between your pics shows a great transformation. Your traps and chest especially look excellent -- I'm a bit jealous. :) You look great man -- keep at it!
really good job joe. i'm in the midst of a cut right now and it is rough, but i'm determined this time. and ur chest is really wide/full/thick. how the hell u manage that (after not doing anything for a few months)? nevertheless, great work.
