yeah, pullups are much harder. it's good that you enjoy the weights, but you should find some sort of cardio that's fun too, (yep there's no cardio that's fun to do alone :P ). I recommend soccer, handball, floorball or hockey : ) those are sports with a fast pace and are really fun ofc.
I did an Olympic distance triathlon last Saturday down in San Diego. Tris are something I got into back in 04 as a way to get my adrenalin fix and not have the bulkiness of a lifter. Now that I'm older I don't need all the bulk from my years in the gym.

Really... you hate cardio? then you're chosing the boring ones, what kind of cardio do you do?
