When I Started:
How I Started:
I've been athletic all my life. Participated in multiple sports all through Junior & Senior High Schools: swimming, volleyball, gymnastics, basketball, and track & field. During college I had a basketball scholarship and ran track. After college I mostly jogged after work and on weekends to stay 'toned'. Recently (approx 2yrs), I've taken up partner dancing and working out in the gym: i.e. cardio stuff and aerobics.
Why I Love It:
Remaining physically fit / toned, exercising makes me feel confident about myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Being around others who enjoy their bodies and have a healthy attitude about staying in shape. I like reading or hearing about others' who workout -- take being physically fit serious.
BB Accomplishments:
Staying fit and strong after having my son, 1985. Not giving in to the mid-life bulge, but working at keeping my "love handles" FAR FAR AWAY...maintaining strong thighs, toned arms and back. I just need to work on tightening my gluteus maximus! ;-)
