I've always been an active person. In H.S. I was a sprinter (100,200,4*1), and played both basketball and football. But a shoulder injury pretty much put an end to those dreams. I didn't really start hitting the gym until my 2nd yr of college...particularly when I transferred to SDSU. Anyone that's been to their gym (THE ARC) can pbly vouch for me that it is an awesome gym. But even then, I was just going through the motions. I don't think I really really started working out with a purpose until about 2 yrs ago. That's when I started to see some real gains and kinda figure out what it takes to make it happen. Now...it's my life...
Why I Love It:
I love the constant challenge...I love how it allows me to take a break from the stresses of everyday life...and I just love the way it makes me feel...as Arnold would say..."The Pump!"
How I Stay Motivated:
This is the easy part. I really just stay motivated by looking at others and thinking to myself..."If they can do it, then so can I" (within reason of course :). Really, it only takes about 5 minutes on Body Space to stay motivated. If not that, then it's flipping through a mag...watching tv...driving by someone running/biking on the street...or anything of the sorts. Now, I can even just look at some old pics of myself and get motivated to either get back to a point...or go beyond it. The motivation is endless!
