I'm doing a 4 day split right now. I'm starting to train for a running event so my reps and sets are a little funky. Mondays-Upper Body: Pretty much all major muscle groups.
Tuesday-Lower Body
Wednesday- A good AB circuit workout
Thursday-Upper Body
Friday-Lower Body
I'm trying to more reps in so i'm pumping out like 15 to 20 reps or i'll my stop watch and do my exercises for 30 seconds. rest periods are about 30 seconds right now. When it's time to overload i'll increase the weight and just go heavy for one week. My cardio log looks a little something like this:
Monday: Long slow distance run for 35 minutes
Tuesday: Track Interval - 10 x 200 meters and 10 x 100 meters @ 85% and a 1:3 work rest ratio.
Wednesday: Recovery run for 15 min.
Thursday:30 min Run
Friday: Fartlek Interval - I've got a great route with 3 hills
Saturday: 40 Min Run.
It's gonnna be challenge to keep as much muscle as possible while i train so i'm eating a lot! |
