How I Started:
I stepped in to my first gym, Gym of Buckhead, in 2003. My now husband was an avid gym goer and encouraged me to start. Gym of Buckhead is a popular gym in Atlanta and is a place where you can always find a few professional fitness/bodybuilders training. I made friends with Stan "Curly Top" McCrary and began training with him. He got me ready for my first figure show in 10 weeks, where I came in 2nd place! I was hooked from then on...
Why I Love It:
I love working out for so many reasons. I love the way it makes me feel...the rush from a great workout is unbeatable. I love that it's MINE and I don't have to depend on anyone else but me. It's truly an individual sport. I love to inspire. I want to show my kids, my family and my friends that being fit is doable and it's a rewarding lifestyle.
