Overall Goal: I started the transformation process in January 2007. I'm undoing 25 years of inactivity. I want to have big, clearly defined muscles, much like Marky Mark in one of his underwear ads.
Fit Status:
I seem to be heading the wrong direction because I gained 2 pounds in a month, but perhaps that's because I added creatine to my supplements
My coworkers were pushing me to join, knowing it would benefit me. I also knew I wanted the muscles, just to feel more confident clothed and nude.
Why I Love It:
I am beginning to actually enjoy working out, just to feel the pump, having the muscles swell and feel VERY full! Recent changes have made my chest, shoulders, and arms feel thicker and more defined.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by knowing I have to meet my trainer at the gym three times a week. I also workout two or three times a week on my own or with a partner. It's good to have each bodypart hit twice a week in different ways.
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment was to see myself at 156 pounds in late 2007, with the abs starting to show separation on the sides.
In mid to late 2009 I saw major changes to my arms, shoulders, chest and back. My weight went as high as 178 pounds. This change was caused by focusing on feeling the muscles activate, keeping the weight high enough that there would be growth as well.

I started the transformation process in January 2007. I'm undoing 25 years of inactivity. I want to have big, clearly defined muscles, much like Marky Mark in one of his underwear ads.
Goal (Long):
I started at 175 pounds in January 2007, with 28% bodyfat and a 39" waist. There was no muscular definition on my frame, and I knew that merely losing fat would leave me disappointed - skin and bones. YUCK! So I set my goal with a trainer at 24 Hour to lose the fat while gaining muscle. I knew it would be the longer path, but it would not leave me with the ill look of skin and bones. On January 9, 2008, I'm at 160 pounds, a 34" waist, 22% bodyfat, some nice muscles showing, and people like giving me hugs! Today, January 7, 2009, I'm at 166 pounds, 35" waist, and 20.7% bodyfat. I'm glad the bodyfat is down, but need to work on my abs. 2008 was good for gains in strength and overall appearance. My weight in June 2009 went as high as 178 pounds with the bodyfat percentage at about 22%. I broke my all time bodyweight by 3 pounds and actually felt really good. The muscles are really growing now, responding well. I'd like to continue seeing more weight gains, keeping the bodyfat percentage at 22% or less. Hitting 185 pounds will be my next goal. I'm glad for the noticable muscle development and the many people coming to me to tell me about the improvements they have seen. I'm still working out with a trainer and look forward to continuing on my current path.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

What supplements do you take immediately after your workout? Why?
I make sure to have something with about 30 grams of protein and more glutamine within 30 minutes after a workout so that my body uses that protein for rebuilding rather than breaking down muscle and just moving it around. 30 minutes or so after that I'll take more NO2 with water.I make sure to have something with about 30 grams of protein and more glutamine within 30 minutes after a workout so that my body uses that protein for rebuilding rather than breaking down muscle and ...more

Since you've been working out, taking supplements and eating right, how often do you get sick (cold, flu, etc.)?
Very rarely

Do you have any type of chronic disease or condition?
Monday: Chest day, working with a trainer for an hour, and doing 15 to 30 minutes of cardio.
Tuesday: Leg day. On my own, doing a warm up of 15 minutes cardio, exercises for quads, hamstrings, and calves, then 15 minutes more cardio to refresh the body. Stretches for the chest.
