Background

When I Started: Jan 2008
HOW I STARTED:

***Note:Realistically I started in Jan. 2008 and could not stay focused and motivated. I made every excuse known to man and had little to no success at losing any weight. So I started again in Jan. 2009 - working out at the campus rec with a buddy after suffering joint pains and feeling lethargic and fatigued all the time. My doctors found no serious medical conditions and recommended changing my eating habits and getting more exercise.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love feeling energized after a long hard workout and knowing that my quality of life is improving. I actually feel happier and more alive!

26 Weeks...

I have a new goal...2lbs per week. If I can just manage to drop 2 per week from now until April that will be 52lbs lighter and even if I only lose 1lb a week or .8lbs a week I will still be at 185lbs by my birthday so I KNOW I CAN DO THIS! My level of motivation just soared through the roof......Tell all my HATERS to look out because I'm on a mission...I gotta have 20 new haters by the spring, how ya like that!!

Looking Back Through My Fitness Journals

So, I updated my Bio today because looking backthrough my fitness journals, I noticed that I actually started this journey last year in March or April 2008 (not in Jan. 2009).  After making up all kinds of excuses why I wasn't sticking to my workouts and eating healthy I finally gave up on myself and my goals.  Then in Jan. 2009 I decided to try it again and I actually made some progress until I got distracted by other hobbies and household remodeling.  But now I'm back AGAIN and I need all the love and support i can get to continue this journey for a lifetime...not just until I...

I joined another online fitness group last year (in March or April).  It was more or less a weigh to journal our fitness experience and share our success and failures with others who were having similar issues. But I will admit I did NOT make any progress because I didn't stay connected with the group and the discussions. My mind was stuck in DIET MODE and I hate dieting because it is a vicious yo-yo cycle that never works, so I eventually lost interest...
