When I Started:
Aug, 2006
How I Started:
I always worked out, but I did it at a leisure pace. This didn't help my body improve fast enough but I slowly built up my endurance. I knew I needed to change some more but didn't have enough motivation for it.
When I actually decided to get into Bodybuilding, it was inspired by an a person that I met. He was a cancer survivor that chose to be a Bodybuilder to get even with life. He inspired me to create a better and healthier body for myself and to help influence others to live healthier fitness lifestyles.
And then I met more wonderful people here on BB.com that became my good friends. They're sincere in helping reach my fitness goal and I'm very happy that they're in my life.
Why I Love It:
I love how it makes me feel healthy. It brings up my self esteem and calms my over tired nerves.
How I Stay Motivated:
My Husband. He's my Hero as well as my Best Friend. No one can Love me more than this Man and I remember that every day. Not only am I doing this for myself but I'm doing it for Him too. I'm the doing the best that I can so I can spend 50+ more years with this Wonderful Person.
Family and Friends. Encouragement is a GREAT motivator. Constructive criticism also helps when approached properly.
BB Accomplishments:
Currently, my body is yo-yoing.
I was successful 2 years ago and lost weight, gained it back in 6 months, lost it a few months later and currently gained it back again.
It's tough and I know it. I have finally decided to get Gastro Bypass Surgery this year. And before anyone critisize me, I already know about the risks and reasons and have talked to several docs. It's time and I'm going for it.
The surgery doesn't prevent me from eating healthy and exercising. I still have keep a healthy lifestyle. The surgery will help me lose the weight that I can no longer do on my own. So wish me Luck!

Hey! saw you come up in my friends list!! How are you stranger? I hope all is well....and you have climbed back on the wagon! The good thing about falling off....is you can always get BACK ON:)
That is a big step and I pray all goes well for you with it.
Things with me are going as well as can be expected.
I am in the middle of another product log (which has been kinda missing something since you have not been in it ;) ) Other then that I continue my fight against genetics.
Hope to see you on the boards again soon
That great. Keep up the great work. Hurt my leg at the gym and it healing up, so I've been slacking at the gym with a reson for a while now. It almost better.
I see you have had positive results since we last talked by PM. It is great to see your efforts are continuing to increasingly pay off with positive results. Stay true to what you want for your health. The effort will always make you happier than the easy (lazy) path of not caring about yourself!
Hi Jesse, how are things going? I tried clicking on your fitness journal, but the link doesn't work. I see that you want to lose 2 inches from your waist by the 30th. I wish you the best in reaching that goal!! I myself am still trying to see my abs. Haha.
Well, its hard for me to explain but here is an article on it http://www.bodybuilding.com/fu n/par30.htm
Or you can email Chuck Rudolf at chuckierd@aol.com and ask him. He set my diet up for me a long time ago and it works VERY well. They have a free e-book over at www.scivation.com you can download it and it has EVERYTHING you newed to know. My diet is from this book and it rocks. Trust me, carb loading every 18th meal does a killer job.
