I gained 10 pounds this weekend! This was not my plan, but I do consider it a blessing. After being in a calorie deficit for the pass 4 or 5 weeks, spending this weekend with my distance family put me in full blown storage mode. Surprisingly little of the weight gain is fat. I can still see my strips (upper oblique definition). I'm sure there is quite a bit of water retention as I woke up this morning with my fingers a little stiff and swollen. I am truly honored to have been chosen as the Military Bodybuilder of the Month. I have the upmost respect for all who volunteer to defend this country. I hope there is something I can pass on to help, be it ever so slight. As I look back on my military service I have few regrets, much to be happy about, and acknowledge that it has been a huge part of making me who I am.
