I was a owner and manager of my own Auto body Shop and I developed health problems due to painting without a fresh air respirator in the summer of 1985 I was riding my GSXR 1100 to my shop in Sanger California and I was incapacitated by a ringing in my ears and dizziness a few minutes later a CHP pulled over to see if I was all right, he called the paramedics and I was diagnosed with toxic brain poising.
My mother bought me a membership to a health club for my B-day and after a few years and a shoulder injury I became a certified personal trainer in 1987. I was working for the health club as a night mgr. when I started AAU Power lifting in 1991, I gained too much weight (fat)so I hired a trainer who I also went to high school with NPC and Musclemania champion "Tom Acosta". I trained with Tom all that summer during this time I watched him train and win the 1994 NPC Gold's Classic bodybuilding championship "I was hooked" and I competed the next summer at the same competition and took 5th at the same show. I have always placed top 5 in all my bodybuilding competitions accept "the Nationals" where I took 13th in 2001.
Why I Love It:
I am originally from California "said birthplace of Bodybuilding" but I converted into a New Yorker after only 5 years, I lived in New Jersey "the real birthplace of Bodybuilding".
There I learned how to develop my acute social and driving skills and a renewed workout ethic.
I chose health and fitness as a carrier to ensure my own health and fitness.
After my traumatic up close view of the world trade center attack on September 11th I decided to move to Miami. I live in North Beach now in a high rise far away from NYC but I still miss it:(
I take my job and my physique very seriously I work with male and female clients some competitors as well on day to day biases.
My sports are PKA / ISKA Muay Thai Kickboxing & NPC Bodybuilding to get it to shape for my sports I use a hard core diet and powerlifting for strength. My weight often goes up and down from 227 down to 180 right now I am somewhere in the middle.
I believe the mind and body are as one and you cannot improve one without the other. I don’t like conventional sports my sports are NHRA Drag Racing, UFC,K-1 Kickboxing,PRIDE and Boxing.
Oh yea, Im a nice peaceful guy with mad respect for those who deserve it, but REMEMBER.....
I am a "ISKA MUAY THAI KICKBOXER"
"MUAY THAI CLAN AIN"T NOTHING TO F-WITH"
R E S P E C T is a two way street....
How I Stay Motivated:
I train my clients to compete and for the past few years they have been winning more than me, Matt Zompanis Musclemania & Superbody Champion 2004,2005 & 2006 and (super-fitness-model)Jennifer Nichole Lee the Bikini America & Bikini Universe Champion 2004 & 2005. Norma Falla NPC Southern States 2005 Masters Figure Champion, Julissa Quevido NPC 2005 Miami figure Champion
I am now training with a Fitness Model & Figure Competitor Claudia Sofronia
Claudia is a personal trainer from Brazil "the Best competitor I have ever worked with" She is the
Figure Universe Superbody 4th place & NPC Southern States Figure 1st Runner up and the 2007 NPC Florida State 1st place "Short Class A Figure Champion"

There are 2 kinds of competitors....
A. Fitness people that like to celebrate when they peak by competing.
B. Drug addicts that found a sport that rewards them for taking steroids.
Witch one are you?

look at the fullness of my carbo-fat loaded physique, Gadgel made me eat 12 bagels the morning before the pre-judging 6-wheat with peanut butter 6-everything with avacato and 3oz. of Carbo force with each one "I weighed in at 190lbs" I lost 5 lbs at the night show.
Musclemania has now become a International Competition, Way too much "Euro-GH Guys 4ME 2 handle out there" gonna stick with the NPC
"I AM WINNING the Masters Middle Weight Class at the 2008 NPC Southern States.
Goal (Long):
I have learned in my 15 years of bodybuilding competition that it is the best conditioned athlete because of "no water retention" due to steroids who wins a competition.
At the amateur level it really does not depend on size but how sliced a competitor is from head to toe, I have beat countless athletes who are much bigger than me "after all it is how big you look on stage” my carb and calorie load was not "enough" I learned that can load up BIG TIME for 48hrs and gain 14 more lbs putting me at 180 still sliced,The last two competitions I was "peaking light and late" 24hrs after my prejudgeing I looked way tighter, I loaded hard the last time with 4000- 5000 cals and went up to 189 at "4.8% Ripped" Im a "Light-heavyweight"
"Universe Miami" if you live in Florida and you want to see how big this sport is getting, just be in Miami at the James L. Knight Center this weekend you will see the TOP Amateur competitiors in America and some of the BEST in the WORLD compete the Largest Bodybuilding-Fitness...
You can write FAME to petition to be an advanced athlete, then you compete as a pro if you win the advanced division. The Universe doesn't care if you compete in FAME. If you are a pro in FAME you cannot compete as an amateur in the NPC. You can double check on that but I am pretty sure. Should be cool to watch...but you guys should compete!:)
