I first got into bodybuilding when I was in junior high. Growing up I was always heavy until jr high when I started playing football and wrestling. Seeing how my body transformed has left a lasting impression. Many years have passed since high school and many pounds added. I realized that I had to make a change. I grew tired of buying larger clothes and not being able to fit nice clothes that I currently own. I began having physical problems from back pain to knee and hip pains. I realized that my body was not strong enough to support that kind of weight. So back to what I know, sweat and iron but this time its for life I am training to enter my first bodybuilding competition and I aim to win!
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding trains you to become more healthy and aware of what you put into your body. It's a lifestyle that I would gladly accept! Then there are the rewards the confidence and motivation boosts that you gain are priceless!
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking in the mirror at not being satisfied with what I see lets me know I can't quit! There is always room to better yourself! Advice from my trainer makes me really look forward to the next workout! Check him out at www.benhartman.com
Right now I weigh approx 255lbs and around 18% body fat(apr 07). My goal is to get into competion condition 198Lbs less than 6% body. I don't really want to shed muscle so if I hit my target body fat before my target weight than so be it! My timeline is 6-9mos.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 40 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
4%
