When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
I've always been an athlete, and big on fitness. I played football as a D-linemen, and had to eat to make sure I maintained size and strength on a line dominated by guys 260+. When it was all said and done, I continued to eat like a linemen without the workouts of an active linemen.
I soon rocketed up to 235 lbs. and was sick and tired of how I looked and felt.
I started working at 24 Hour Fitness for the free gym membership.
When I started actively working out again, I weighed 235 lbs. with a 26% body fat.
Now a little over a year later, I'm down to 209 with a 19% bodyfat.
Thats good progress, but I'm ready to take it to the next level. Check out my goals to see what I'm working for now.
Why I Love It:
I like the way it makes me feel. I like the confidence it builds up. I like to know I'm preventing adult-onset diabetes, heart disease, and other problems.
It takes away everday day stress. I like the thought of altering my genetics to create a body I want.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at pictures of lifters with bodies that I want. I look at where I was, I see my progress now, and get excited about where I'm going to be.
And now that I'm working at a gym as a trainer, I need to make sure I practice what I preach. I hated looking at fat unfit trainers telling their clients to do stuff they couldn't perform. Also, making sure I'm the fittest trainer with the most change for my clients. Word catches on and the rest is history. I want to be the biggest and baddess m****r f****r at the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
Dropping bodyfat and feeling great. No building animal mass.
You never really notice progress until you take a pic and look at it objectively. When I saw this one I shocked myself. 17% body fat and dropping. Really motivated, getting ready to hit it hard for even better results.
I'm currently 6'2" at 211 lbs. My body fat is hovering between 19%-20%. I've played sports and I'm very athletic. I do my research to make sure I'm up-to-date with supps, and routines. Yet I've never in my life seen my abs. I'm gaining definition, but I want to take it to the next level. I've gotten a fitness analysis and found that if I could drop to 10% body fat I would be 190 lbs. Thats a good start. I want to get to 10% body fat and 190 lbs. That would be my shredded look.
I then would like to stack on some lean mass (without steroids, prohormones, or any other doping substances)and get to about 210 lbs lean.
I would like to compete in amateur, natural body building competitions.
I've been told I don't have the body type for body building. I've been told I have bad genetics, but I believe they're all wrong. I'm tall, I can build muscle and strength with hard work. I just need the edge to drop lbs.
I'm coachable, just give me your suggestions.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%

What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Slight muscle pulls, specifically in the hamstring, used to be week on me, but I just rested a minimum of a week, and stretched, and I made sure not to rush to work it out more, if it wasn't healed, then I didn't work it out.Slight muscle pulls, specifically in the hamstring, used to be week on me, but I just rested a minimum of a week, and stretched, and I made sure not to rush to work it out more, if it wasn't healed, t...more

...was completely all natural (even without whey) for all summer. Felt great, felt strong, and to know it was all my strength felt gooooood. But since I decided to take my health and fitness to the next level by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM, I need to take it up...
Your numbers over the past year indicate you've successfully removed fat but you haven't added any muscle in the process. You're training for function and fitness which is pointless. Go for big stupid plump overinflated bodybuilder muscles.
Thank you so much for adding me and for the kind compliment and encouragement, I really appreciate it! Your hard work is evident and your physique is great! Best wishes for continued success with your goals.
