At age 37 I was recently divorced and approaching my 40th birthday. I felt fat and out of shape. I started dating a girl (who later became my wife) who worked out regularly. She was missing workouts because we were dating so she dragged me to the gym with her... I've never looked back.
Why I Love It:
It is a great stress reliever after a hard days work. I can let loose my frustrations in the gym. I also like watching my body change as I bulk up or diet down, and I like accomplishing goals I've set for myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
Setting realistic goals and reaching them! At this point in my life I am more focussed on helping others achieve their goals... although there are those out there who will tend to take advantage of that fact and use me... and then lose me. Right now, the competitors that are striving to reach their goals at my upcoming show are my motivation factor. I have met so many dedicated individuals along the way that inspire me. It is that look in their eye that sparkles dedication and more. I am complete.
BB Accomplishments:
I've accomplished more than I ever thought I would do. Besides several state bodybuilding weight class titles I have won 4 NPC National Weight Class Titles in 4 different Weight Classes ALL with perfect scores!
I am now a NPC Judge and promoter of my own show

i'm training harder then ever and i cant wait! see you there...2 weeks and 2 days away.
Hi Randy!
I am so glad, not so surprised, the Heartland Classic turned out so well for you! I AM SO HAPPY that the Hopkins High School Worked out for you! I am also disappointed I couldn't have been more apart of it or greater help to you.
You seem to be on the shorter end of the height scale like me..I have never competed before but am really thinking about it. What did you do to get so big for your size?
I really enjoyed reading how you got started. Your profile is inspiring and makes me feel for ridiculous for wondering if I was too old when I first got started.
Thanks I really appreciate that. Being my first show I know I would regret it if I didn't buy the pics! I actually went back on the diet Monday...I am doing the Fox Cities on the 19th, so I only cheated sunday (but it was def a HUGE day of eating haha). I think I got back up to 150...already back down to 144 though.
Hey Randy, do you know of any other way to get a hold of Mark Mason besides the # on the site and the email?? When I emailed him it keeps giving me an error saying it couldn't be delivered, and so far he has not called me back on buying the night show pics. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks.
Hey thanks Randy, I'm waiting to see the video of the show. I ordered the DVD so I'll be able to study it. I know my legs where too wide for the front DBL bicep, wasn't lean enough, bombed on the 30 second routine and I'm sure I'll uncover more when I get the DVD. I'll be back with even more hunger next year. Thanks for everything.
I went to the show this weekend, Great Job!!! I enjoyed the Circus Juventas performers! The competitors looked great! The trophes were unique and looked awesome too!
Hey Randy, great job organizing the show on saturday. I had a great time, and am glad I did the show. As of right now, plan to see me at next year's show.
