When I Started:
Jun, 2004
How I Started:
My husband motivated me with his interest in being more healthy and I also knew that I needed to make a change for the better.
Why I Love It:
I don't actually love it but I'm beginning to like it. I'm sure once I start seeing results, the love affair with myself will begin.
How I Stay Motivated:
That's the problem... I haven't stayed motivated long enough to see results. My motivation this time is the need to see a more thinner and healthier me.
I would like to be at least down to 200 lbs by the summer if not before.
Goal (Long):
I have struggled with weight all my life and gained control of it as a teenager when my cholestrol was critically high and my doctor told me I had to lose weight on my own or he was going to send me to a weight lose camp. I couldn't let my friends find out about that, so that was enough for me to lose weight. I maintained a healthy weight until I once again was faced with weight gain in my late twenties. I became settled in my married life and doing the mother thing and didn't really focus on myself or controlling my bad habits. I also didn't realize that my body no longer automatically faught off fat because I wasn't as active as before and I was older. I want to be realistic about my transformation. I don't want to shop in the plus size section anymore. I want to pick something off the rack and be confident in knowing my size. My ultimate goal weight is 150 lbs. and then see what happens once I get there. I want definition in my physique but maintain my femenine appeal. I want to incorporate weight lifting, aerobics, and eating right into my routine. I would love to be able to run at least 5 mins. without feeling like I'm going to colapse and die. I want to be more patient with my plan and give it a year to see a difference. So here I am approaching 40 and at my heaviest weight ever. It's time and I'm ready to meet the knew me.
The deal with the workout program is off! Not going to happen. Decided to invest in me. I've been concentrating on eating better and developing my workout plan. I've started Lipo-6, Whey protein, multivitamin, drinking more water. I'm doing Tae-bo at home and I...
